This notice covers website and enquiry handling by these businesses. For a contracted project or training engagement, the proposal or agreement identifies the entity responsible for that engagement. Our privacy contact can clarify which entity handles your information and coordinate your request.
2. Information we collect
- Enquiries: your name, email address, selected service, project details, and any information you choose to send. Messages may include the page used, submission time and technical information needed for delivery or abuse prevention.
- Training and project communications: contact and professional details, requirements, correspondence and administrative records needed for the engagement.
- Newsletter subscriptions: your email address and subscription preferences when you choose to subscribe.
- Website operation: IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, timestamps and diagnostic or security logs processed by our hosting and website systems.
- Optional analytics: cookie identifiers, pages and interactions, approximate location and device information when you permit analytics.
Please do not include patient records, identifiable genomic data, health information, passwords or other confidential datasets in the public enquiry form. If a project requires sensitive data, contact us first to agree an appropriate secure transfer method and data-processing arrangements.
3. Why we use information
Where EU or UK data-protection law applies, we rely on the following bases:
- Responding to requests and delivering services: taking steps at your request before a contract, or performing our agreement. For professional contacts acting for an organisation, our legitimate interest is communicating about the requested engagement.
- Running and securing the website: our legitimate interests in maintaining a reliable service, preventing abuse and diagnosing faults, balanced against your privacy interests.
- Newsletters and optional analytics: your consent. Sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing. You may withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing.
- Accounting and legal requirements: compliance with applicable legal obligations; establishing or defending legal claims where necessary.
The information requested in an enquiry is needed to understand and reply to your request. You may browse without submitting it, but we cannot respond without suitable contact details. We do not use website enquiries to make solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
4. Cookies and your choices
Essential technologies support website security, requested functionality and remembering your privacy choices. Optional analytics helps us understand how the website is used. Where consent is required, optional analytics must remain off until you choose to allow it. You can reject optional cookies and continue using the website.
Use the cookie banner or the controls below to review or change your choice. Browser settings can also remove or restrict cookies. See our Cookie Policy for categories, technologies and available controls.
5. Service providers and external links
Information is shared with authorised team members and providers as needed for the purposes above. Website hosting and backups use Hostinger and WordPress services. Contact Form 7 submissions are stored in our WordPress database through CFDB7 and delivered by email using Google Workspace and FluentSMTP. Email delivery logs may contain message details.
Google Analytics is used for optional website measurement. The site also uses externally hosted Google Fonts, which can disclose your IP address and browser information to Google when font resources are requested; this is separate from analytics cookies. Newsletter forms use Mailchimp for WordPress and, where a subscription is connected, Mailchimp processes subscription information.
Calendly booking links, WhatsApp, Fiverr, Trustpilot and social-media links take you to external services. Information you submit there is handled under their own privacy notices. A link does not itself mean that you have consented to their tracking on this website.
We may disclose information when required by law or when necessary to protect legal rights. A specific research project may require a separate confidentiality or data-processing agreement.
6. International processing
Our businesses operate in the United States and Pakistan, and our providers may process information in other countries. Privacy laws in those locations may differ from those in your country. Where EU or UK law requires a transfer safeguard, the relevant transfer must be covered by an applicable lawful mechanism, such as an adequacy decision or appropriate contractual safeguards. Contact us for details of the destinations and safeguards applicable to your information. This notice does not by itself create a transfer safeguard.
7. How long we retain information
Enquiries that do not become projects are retained for 45 days after the last substantive contact, then scheduled for deletion from active enquiry records, including the website submission database and enquiry correspondence. This period does not apply where an enquiry becomes an active project, you ask us to keep discussing it, or retention is necessary for a legal obligation or dispute.
Project, training, billing and contractual records are retained for the engagement and any applicable accounting, legal or claims period. Newsletter information is retained until you unsubscribe or the list is reviewed for inactivity; a minimal suppression record may be needed to respect an opt-out. Security logs and backups follow the relevant operational retention cycle. Deleted information may remain temporarily in restricted backups until those backups expire, and should not be reused for ordinary business purposes.
8. Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, or a portable copy of information you provided. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and to direct marketing. You can withdraw consent at any time using cookie controls, an email unsubscribe link or our privacy email. Some rights are subject to legal exceptions.
Email info@thefreelancebubble.com. We may ask for proportionate information to verify your identity. Where GDPR applies, we normally respond within one month; if a lawful extension is needed, we will explain it within that period. You may also complain to the relevant supervisory authority, including the authority in your EU/EEA country of residence or work, or the UK Information Commissioner where applicable.
9. Security and children
We use access controls and technical and organisational measures appropriate to the information and service. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. The website is intended for professional and educational enquiries, not services directed at children. Please contact us if you believe a child has provided information that should be removed.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this notice when our services, providers or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version. Privacy requests can be sent by email or by post to either registered address above.
